, a cyclone has battered the southern india states. many of the coastal areas are pretty low lying, and up to 100,000 people have had to be evacuated. we understand seven people have been killed. five sailors also missing after an oil tanker ran aground off the city of chanai. our correspondent is there. >> a lot of the crew were rescued, some of them yesterday, a few early this morning, when two helicopters were able to get some of them off that ship. but five sailors are still missing. they've been missing since yesterday. in fact, there's growing concern now over their safety quite simply because it's been something like 20 hours since it went missing. the wind here has picked up a bit, but it's knock like the 100-kilometer winds that we experienced when the cyclone first made landfall yesterday. a lot of people, as you can see, are out on the beach, mainly to look at the ship mind me. there's a lot of oil on that tanker, and they are worried as it drifts closer to shore, they're concerned that some of that oil might actually come out of that ship and create an even bigger problem. >> h
of the companies you sell to don't have electricity that is reliable, correct? >> true. i was in india last week. half the women in india have no electric power or fresh potable water. when you enable her by putting a product together that saves her time, it changes her life. liz: well wit is just amazing you can do all of this stuff. look at their emerging market sales. 66% of the total sales. you're huge in india. you just got back. what did you see? >> now we've grown, took us about five years to start breaking even. five years to get to scale. now we have 180,000 women w so they're moving from the lower class to the middle class, to leadership. it's, it's having a dramatic impact. liz: do they have tupperware parties it sell all of this stuff? >> yeah. it is a little different twist. many don't have places where they live are big enough to have six to eight of their friends. they do it outside under tents. liz: they do it outside. that is interesting. you do it in 100 countries. i'm sure that is repeated elsewhere. >> yeah. liz: let's talk about some of the products. this is a storm story. n
also affected india. seven people were killed when a cyclone struck the southeast coast. the rescue operation is under way for six sailors still missing after an oil tanker ran aground. from there, we've received this report. >> the feeling of the storm lashing india's east coast. out at sea, an oil tanker that ran aground when the cyclone struck. most of its 37 crew members have been rescued, but some are still missing. throughout the day, coast guard rescue teams have been in action, trying to find the remaining sailors. now they are preparing to tow the ship back to sea before it drifts further, creating an oil slick. the cyclone made landfall on wednesday, lashing the coast with rain and high winds with speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour. power lines were brought down, and roads have been damaged, but the loss of life has been kept to a minimum. along the coast in its many fishing villages, some signs of the storms are gone -- fishermen and their families have gone to higher ground. now they are waiting. >> the worst of the storm is now behind us. for many of these people,
